Ross McCartney Posted February 3, 2016 Share Posted February 3, 2016 Hi, I am trying to model a dynamic system in which I want to allow a mineral to precipitate once the saturation ratio exceeds one but when the saturation ratio later declines below one, I do not want it to re-dissolve. Brian Farrell Posted February 3, 2016 Share Posted February 3, 2016 Hi Ross, I think you’ll want to use kinetics for this problem. To get the desired functionality, you’ll need to write a simple custom rate law. There is an example very similar to the problem you’re describing in section 5.2, Rate law scripts, of the GWB Reaction Modeling Guide.
