Inputs required to calculate pe

Hi Chris,

You need to constrain the oxidation state of your system in order to calculate a pe value. In GSS, you would need to set the O2(aq) concentration (either the total component, or commonly for DO measurements the free species concentration). Or you can add Eh as a System parameter and use that to calculate pe.

In SpecE8, React, X1t, or X2t you have a little more flexibility to constrain the oxidation state. You can set an Eh or O2(aq) concentration like in GSS, or you can swap in a gas, mineral, or species activity ratio to constrain the oxidation state.

Hope this helps,
