Steam and Rock interaction modeling

Hi Jahed,

 

Most thermo datasets compile data from experiments conducted along the steam saturation curve. In other words, water doesn't boil as you go above 100 C because the pressure is just high enough to match the vapor pressure of water.

 

A few examples in the GWB Users Guides describe the process of "steam flooding" of petroleum reservoirs. The steam is actually hot water (200 C in these particular models). Try taking a look at section 3.4 of the GWB Reaction Modeling Guide, and 3.11 and 4.10 in the GWB Reactive Transport Modeling Guide.
