Travis Sheaffer Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 Hello, I have a faculty member who has a perpetual license of Geochemist Workbench. Recently, she had her computer upgraded with a new one. On the old computer, we attempted to deactivate Geochemist Workshop and was presented with the following error (screenshot also included).... Source: License Server - 129.1169.36 (from environment HYDOKEY_LICENSE_FILE) Error: Cannot connect to license server system. The license service manager (lmgrd) has not been started yet, the wrong port@host or license file is being used, or the port or hostname in the license file has been changed. Server name: 129.1.169.36 License Path: @129.1.169.36; FlexNet Licensing error: -15,570 A pop-up box also appears that says... Return failed for GPA10PL-******* 9999; Error processing the request [Incident# 6280-86440] Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! --Travis Sheaffer Bowling Green State University
Jia Wang Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 Hello Travis, To fix the '9999' error, activate with the license code “tsfix” in the GWB Activation Utility and then deactivate this code. After this, you should be able to deactivate the license on the old machine and activate it on your student's new machine. If you are experiencing other activation or deactivation errors, please check our list of resolutions to common issues. The other license shouldn't cause any issue in deactivating your GWB 10 license. Hope this helps, Jia Wang
